These articles are entirely unreferenced and out of date. I can't find a single source that even verifies so much that the chart even exists, much less a reliable source telling who publishes it, what methodology it uses, etc. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many otters • One bat • One hammer) 16:48, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. Simple weeding here. Wikipedia will not suffer the loss of these articles since the individual artists and songs, if notable, will appear elsewhere. Going to the Top Latino site I can't find any archive of number-one hits in any case. These articles are redundant and not needed. Wouldn't be surprised if nobody shows up to defend them. --Quartermaster (talk) 17:25, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Looking around, I believe I've found that Spain is the only Spanish-speaking country with an official, verifiable, reputable singles chart. I wonder why that is. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many otters • One bat • One hammer) 17:42, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Scratch that, Argentina has an official chart too. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many otters • One bat • One hammer) 20:25, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
KeepComment:I'd hate to see this deleted, although primarily for pragmatic reasons. Top Latino is a real radio show, broadcasting on affiliates through Latin America and the Caribbean. I used to pick it up from an Aruban station, even though they've dropped it. They have affiliates in many countries, and some, like Bolivia, have quite a few affiliates. They do keep archives of the top 5 (January 26, for example), although their site is a bitch to navigate. That said, there is very little I can find out about the program, and very little I can find out about their charts. The problem is one of realism: top40-charts.com is run by mystery men, americatop100.com seems to be an amateur site. This leaves toplatino.net as the only set of Latin American charts with any credibility at all, and, should we delete them and list them on WP:BADCHARTS, there will no charts for South America. An entire continent lost. Not to mention an edit-war without end as the charts start getting removed from articles across Wikipedia, and plucky Latins keep putting them back in. Purging the Brazil Hot 100 took me three months, and I only keep it gone by using the abuse filter feature to notify me every time someone re-includes it. All of which are really bad reasons to keep an article, so the closing admin can feel free to discount my request. I'm not looking forward to the aftermath of deleting this so shortly after finally giving up on americatop100, though.—Kww(talk) 01:34, 24 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- There are no sources at all about the program, dude. Basically, all you're saying is "if we delete it, there'll be no Latin American charts on Wikipedia." WP:LOSE. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many otters • One bat • One hammer) 03:21, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Revised to comment status.—Kww(talk) 16:14, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep, I agree, keep it, since it works for many people as reference and besides, does the existence of the article affects you? I think it doesn't so why delete it? As you did with the other music charts that were very useful and I am sure the person who created and edited them took long of their time to create them. Please excuse my english I am from a foreing country. So please I think you should keep it, it serves as a reference to many people. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rihanoooo1191 (talk • contribs) 23:26, 25 May 2009 (UTC) — Rihanoooo1191 (talk • contribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic.
