A story of two adolescent girls and their intense and dangerous relationship. Charlène, 17, is full of qualms and complexes that ensue from her loneliness. She is a grey mouse that yearns to become the centre of attention. When she crosses paths with a beautiful and self-conscious Sarah, they soon become inseparable. Charlène is astonished as her new acquaintance makes her feel fulfi lled and invincible. Alas, Sarah is not a loving being but rather an emotional vampire; she does not love as strongly as Charlène and perhaps does not love her at all but rather plays with her. Charlène will have to gather all her strength to survive this clash of characters. She is the nerve centre of the picture, bubbling under the skin of her seemingly calm face. The gap between both characters is amplifi ed by the fi ve-year age difference between the two protagonists. (IFF Bratislava)

I really like Mélanie Laurent, but with this movie, I didn’t even feel like watching it to the end. The girls tried really hard, but in the end it was for naught because they didn’t come up with anything original. A classically average drama from the world of contemporary France. ()
