(Monolith)

angielski I love these types of movies when it’s painfully obvious that the American filmmaking elite has only made a movie to spend some of the excess dollars in their budgets by the end of the year that they’ve got left from making other movies. Nothing happens in the movie at all. Some ace actors get together to play blackjack in Vegas, they drink some twelve-year-old Tullamore Dew and suddenly the end credits start rolling, everyone gets up and goes to their families. ()

angielski If I was a director, I’d rather shoot nothing than these harmless banal flicks blatantly advocating positive values, which would end up with a “TV film” label if it wasn’t for the expensive cast. The four acting aces are of course super likable, but the story’s too lame for words. ()

angielski An enjoyable and cheerful comedy that is sure to entertain. The three leads are spectacular and everyone fits their roles like a glove. Despite not being the target audience, I had a decent time and even laughed a few times. Yeah, I'm satisfied. 70%. ()

angielski Having four Oscar-winning aces in one film doesn't necessarily mean that it will be a success, because even a perfectly cast film can always fail on a dull and uninteresting script, which is exactly the case with Last Vegas, which despite the presence of those renowned actors failed to engage and entertain me enough to give it a decent rating. And when the genre is supposed to be a comedy that doesn't even make you laugh enough, something must really be wrong, which is a shame for a film with such acting potential. A film that gambled on a sure thing, and in the end it pretty much blew it ()

angielski Not one of the quartet of acting bards are among my favorites, but when I had to choose between The Hobbit and Vegas at the traditional pre-Christmas event with friends, I chose Vegas in order to relax and laugh. It's not a groundbreaking comedy, but it absolutely suited me, even though it wasn't a completely clean comedy, there were actually more sad undertones. I must highlight the musical collection, a number of songs fit in perfectly. Of the guys, physically the biggest guy De Niro seems the coolest to me, Douglas was appropriately stylized into the role of a disgusting womanizer, but Kline was the biggest disappointment, is this the same actor who chased Meg Ryan in French Kiss? Time is certainly ruthless. Fans of Entourage will be pleased with Turtle's supporting role, Zoufalek's fans with the pharmacist, and Weeds also has representation. The scene with Kevin Kline and the young waitress really touched me and I consider it to be the most beautiful scene in the whole movie. I would gladly watch the guys again, so go ahead and make a sequel, Jone. ()

angielski It's clichéd and predictable, but I still enjoy these films that look at old age with a bit of perspective. Moreover, with such an amazing cast, where I didn't even realize Kevin Kline is nearing seventy, I was simply thrilled. I laughed, I had fun, and I had a pleasant evening overall. That’s pretty much it, but sometimes that is enough. ()
