Chapters in Mafia Definitive Edition

Mafia Definitive Edition includes chapters known from the original 2002 version, but it should be noted that the Mafia 1 Remake modifies and expands some of these tasks. Thus, the game may surprise even those who remember all stages from the original edition of the game perfectly.

Side missions – are they in story mode?

There are no side missions in the story mode of Mafia Definitive Edition. The main tasks are assigned one after another. When you complete a main mission, the game shows a window informing you about that. The game can then immediately start another mission or show an additional cut-scene first.

Unfortunately, the remake does not have any side missions performed for Lucas Bertone which were available in Mafia The City of Lost Heaven.

Optional activities can be done in the Free Ride mode. It is described in a separate chapter of the guide.

Replaying chapters – is it possible?

Yes, you can replay the chapters in Mafia 1 Remake. You can repeat a given mission on a different difficulty level, play it in a different way (some missions offer the option to, e.g. choose a stealth or open combat approach) or to get secrets and collectibles you missed on the first playthrough.

Select Chapter Replay in the main menu. The game will show you the list of completed missions.
