The story-based campaign comprises a series of linear missions. However, the game offers a character development system based on levels and experience points. This, along with the possibility to use the previously mentioned implants, is what builds the pillar of freedom offered by this game. Inventory-related aspects have their influence on the gameplay as well, for the player gathers equipment dropped by defeated enemies. Although the player encounters many enemies in the game, open combat is not necessarily the only possible solution, for the protagonist can sneak and perform quick retreats - depending on the tactics applied, relationships with NPCs can develop in different directions.
