Cyberpunk 2077 Set to Receive One More Update. CD Projekt Plans to Add Support for FSR 3.0
Cyberpunk 2077 will receive yet another update. FSR 3.0 support will be introduced to the game.
Although, according to the information provided by the devs, the development of Cyberpunk 2077 has already ended, it turns out that the game is still to receive one more update. CD Projekt Red's spokesperson confirmed to IGN that the game will support the implementation of FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 (FSR 3.0).
We are still working on the FSR3 support for Cyberpunk 2077, but I do not have an update on its availability just yet.
For those unfamiliar - FSR 3.0 is a dynamic image scaling technology that allows to achieve a much higher frame rate while maintaining a correspondingly high image quality. It was developed by AMD as a technological equivalent to Nvidia's DLSS.
Interestingly, some players have already noticed the change made by CD Projekt in the game files on Steam. We can see a new branch that was updated 2 days ago through the SteamDB page. However, it's unclear whether this is the version with FSR 3.0 support.
Let's recall that after the release of update 2.12, the team responsible for Cyberpunk 2077 was allegedly moved to other studio projects. At least that's what the chart shared with the group's financial results shows. The company is now mainly focusing on The Witcher 4, which is expected to enter full production in the second half of this year.
