Once Human is a popular postapocalyptic free-to-play survival game, that is set in a postapocalyptic world. You will do many quests and gather resources during the adventure. Over time, you will unlock upgrades that will make your exploration easier.

One of them is Backpack Expansion, which allows you to increase your character's load capacity. From this guide, you will learn how to unlock this upgrade.

How to Unlock Backpack Expansion in Once Human

In Once Human, you will gather many different resources. So, the game is much easier when your character has a bigger capacity. Therefore, Backpack Expansion is a very important thing in the game. So, how do you unlock this upgrade? Backpack Expansion is available in Memetic Specializations (you can check the best ones in our previous guide).

When you reach a certain level, you will unlock a random improvement. So, it requires a bit of luck. When you unlock Backpack Expansion, you can finally craft this upgrade. You can do this in the Intermediate Workbench. You need the following materials for this:

  1. 15 x Rubber
  2. 10 x Metal Scrap
  3. 10 x Raw Hide

The description of this upgrade says "When in your Backpack, increase Max Load by 40-80". When you craft it, you will have the lowest value by default. If you want to have a better Backpack Expansion, you must find the resource icon with circular arrows and click on it. This will replace the basic materials with those of higher quality.
