STALKER 2 in a New 30-Minute Gameplay. Check out One of the Missions Awaiting Us in Post-Apocalyptic Shooter
GSC Game World studio showcased the new S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl gameplay.
As announced, GSC Game World has unveiled new videos from the delayed game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of the Chornobyl. During the 30-minute show, we received both behind-the-scenes materials and a gameplay recording presenting one of the current missions in the game, accompanied by the devs' comments. You can watch it below.
STALKER 2 - gameplay
Skiff arrives at a previously inhabited swamp area to deactivate devices that are blocking access to a crucial location. On his way, he collects useful items and encounters many enemies, including blind dogs, zombies, rodents, and pseudodogs. This is connected to specific mechanics, as they create their own phantoms, and in order to win, you must eliminate the real creature. So the devs made sure to diversify the fights.
In the "sequel", locations from the original trilogy will also return, and knowing them may prove quite helpful. For instance: a farm that has been burned, and had Burner anomalies around it, still has them. Furthermore, certain areas have been enlarged and what was previously inaccessible will now be made available.
The devs assure that playing the game once won't be enough to see everything that has been prepared. We will come across different characters and complete different tasks based on the choices we make. The title is designed to appeal to both fans of the story and those who prefer free exploration.
In the further part of the material, we can see how the cutscenes were created and also have a chance to watch some of them. In the game, we will find over 43 of them, and in total they will last almost 3 hours.
Moreover, the game will receive 2 story expansions in the future. According to the description, these are to be "large-scale expansions that continue or expand on the main story."
S. T. A. L. K. E. R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl will be released on November 20 on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
