Warhammer 40K: Darktide Under Overhaul; Xbox Release Date Revealed
Fatshark made its presence felt at gamescom and presented a new trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. In addition, the team shared the game's release date on Xbox Series X/S.
Fatshark, studio known for developing cooperative FPP action games, unveiled a new trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide at gamescom and shared the release date of the console version of the game. The title will hit Xbox Series X/S on October 4..
Thus Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will be released on Microsoft's console almost a year after its debut on PC. It is worth noting that the game still has not been announced for PlayStation 5, which may indicate its temporary exclusivity.
It can also be assumed that the release of Fatshark's work on Xbox consoles will coincide with major changes that have been announced recently and which are expected to push the title in a more "RPG" direction. Among other things, unique ability trees for each class will come to the game, which will add depth to character progression.
We also have information for those who have started playing Darktide on PC and would like to continue it on consoles, or those who want to play the game with friends from another platform. Unfortunately, at the time of the October release, both the cross-play feature and the split progression between PC and Xbox will not be supported in Darktide (via WhatIfGaming). Hopefully, this state of affairs will prove to be only temporary.
