Why are some doors closed?

1. There are two examples of locked pathways and doors. First - doors locked with a key - a message "It's locked" will appear when interacting with them.

1. Some of the locked buildings are warehouses. The game may mark closed doors on the map (example in the image). It will happen if inside there is a Treasure Chest or another important secret.

How to get a key to the door?

1. To get inside, you need to find a key matching the door. An important information here is that there aren't any lockpicks or means of unlocking passages. Instead,
2. you need to get the key carried by one of nearby opponents and, unfortunately, most of the time they will be stronger types. The message that a key has been obtained will be received immediately after defeating such an enemy (example in the screenshot), and the game may mark the related door on the map.

How to find the entrance to the building?

1. The second category are doors bolted from the other side. You'll learn of the situation via an appropriate message.

1. In this case, your task is to find a different entrance to the building. Don't look for a key in such situations.
2. Entrances usually take the form of small holes in the roof or wall of the building - an example is shown in the screenshot. Reaching them may require climbing and/or using the glider. After getting inside the building, aside from searching it and collecting loot, you can open the bolted door and unlock the building permanently.

Red barrel barricades

1. Sometimes, instead of bolted/locked door you may encounter a barricade with a red barrel behind it.
2. Don't waste time trying to hit it with a firearm - instead, equip Fire Pipe from your inventory and set the barrel on fire - this will cause an explosion, unlocking access to the building.
