Chapter 1 - Sole Survivors | Episode 5 The Walking Dead - A New Frontier Guide

The chapter begins with a final flashback starring the main hero. This time, we take part in a game of dice between Javier, his father, and his brother. Choose one dice to begin a conversation with the rest of the family:

It turns out that the brothers' father is battling cancer:

You gotta tell her

You're the coward

David, stop

...

You are left with a choice: you can plead with your father to continue fighting the disease, or tell him that it is his life and he can do what he wants. The choice is without any consequences. Finally, the man will ask both of you to take care of each other:

You got it, Pa

It's up to him

Never gonna happen

...

Notes: Your attitude towards your father and the decision whether to hear his plea can increase your chances of saving David in the final moments of this episode.

You are back to the present day. The city is under attack from the undead - press the buttons shown on the screen to repel the invaders. You've encountered David amidst the commotion:

Dialogue

Help me find her!

This is your fault

I just saved you

...

Kate joins the scene:

Dialogue

Whoa, slow down

Real nice driving

So happy you're alive!

...

The conversation is followed by a short action sequence. After a short while, Javier, Gabe, and Clementine manage to find their way to a safe location, ending the chapter.
