Below you'll find tips regarding useful buildings and technologies of the Kislev faction in Total War Warhammer 3.
Technologies
All Grand Cathay factions share the same tech tree so they're worth discussing all at once.
Grand Cathay's tech tree is bead-shaped. This is important, since due to the Harmony mechanic you must plan which technologies to research in advance.
The thicker part of the "bead" can be divided into 3 parts. The top lets you develop Yang based technologies, the bottom contains Yin research. The middle is neutral. Always research what you think you need, but remember that Harmony provides you with useful bonuses.
Each "bead" ends with a narrow part you must reach by developing earlier technologies.
In the early game it's worth it to develop technologies in the middle as well as Harmonic Balance - Yang which helps your settlements develop. Adjust your choices to your playstyle. Support the units prevalent in your military. If you use heroes, research technologies that make their actions cheaper, etc.
Buildings
In the early game it's a good idea to build basic military buildings in order to quickly create a solid army. Additionally, some structures are attuned to Yin/Yang, which counts to your overall Harmony. This means they can be used for balancing purposes. If your research pushes you too far in either direction you can regain Harmony thanks to buildings.
