New models - Volkswagen - AmarokVW loads up Amarok EOFY dealsFive years of free maintenance on VW Amarok Core, Life and Style variants for EOFY10 May 2024 VOLKSWAGEN Australia has announced a range of end of financial year (EOFY) deals for select Amarok ute variants.
Until June 30, VW Commercial Vehicles is offering the MY24 Amarok with a five-year Care Plan at no extra cost for its TDI405 Core and TDI500 Life, and TDI500 and TDI600 Style ute models.
The brand’s five-year Care Plan, which covers all servicing for the first half-decade or 75,000km, usually costs $1900.
Compared to other Amaroks, the Core uses a less powerful turbo-diesel engine paired exclusively with a six-speed automatic transmission and selectable part-time four-wheel drive.
Stepping up into the in-demand Style grade sees buyers get the choice of the TDI500 bi-turbo four-cylinder at $71,740 drive-away, or the TDI600 turbo-diesel V6 engine with a 10-speed auto and permanent four-wheel drive for $75,740 drive-away, both of which come with the same five-year Care Plan.
Usually, the TDI500 Style lists at $69,740 + ORC and the TDI600 Style sits at $73,740 + ORC.
Volkswagen outlined the supply constraints that remain a consideration for buyers, with huge demand in particular for the V6 diesel PanAmericana and Aventura grades.
Across the Amarok range, the Core accounts for seven per cent of the sales mix, while the Life covers 15 per cent. The grade with most abundant supply is the Style, which accounts for 54 per cent of all Amarok volume, with PanAmericana at nine per cent and Aventura at per cent.
The Amarok is now the most popular VW model in Australia, accounting for more than 25 per cent of sales. In the first four months of 2024, VW has shifted just over 3000 units.
The brand is predicting, at the current rate, it should sell 10,200 examples over the year, and it expects to eclipse the current monthly sales record of 1024 units, which was set in October 2023.
VW Australia has also hinted at the potential for a TDI600 V6 variant to be offered in a lower-grade model in the future, with the business seeing potential in fleet sales interest in a more budget-friendly dual-cab 4x4 ute variant.
