For further details about the software prerequisites, please visit the Help Manual page.
Free Developer License
By default, the toolkit will operate under the free developer license after installation. Under the developer license, you can use the software within your development environment (Visual Studio, or BIDS - Business Intelligence Development Studio) for no extra charge for as long as you want, given that you agree to the toolkit's accompanying license agreement.
The only limitation with the free developer license is that you cannot run the toolkit outside of the development environment (Visual Studio or BIDS). If you would like to run the software outside the development environment, such as running SSIS packages on a scheduled basis or from a command line, you will need to acquire a paid license from us.
