Happy Labor Day! To all our customers, and their customers, who kept freight moving while taking some time off 🏌♀️ HAPPYROBOT.ai answered and made thousands of phone calls on their behalf.

We just crossed a significant milestone in our AI application: we've completed over 100,000 AI driven calls. Next year, we project to do 5-10x that amount. In partnership with Happyrobot and Transport Pro we reduced the number of calls a person needs to handle by 80-100% in every use case. Not only that, but: -Our carrier relationships grew stronger -We reduced risk and prevented fraud  -100% of calls were answered 24/7 with no hold time, even during peak call volumes -Consistent negotiation patterns resulted in 10% higher margins  -We found ways to use this to drive new sources of revenue -American jobs were created -Unique data was captured from every call to improve stakeholder profiles -5x ROI +unit economics at an all time high Having a AI and RPA strategy and investment in your company is a must to remain competitive. We’ve already deployed AI in multiple departments and use cases that will continue to free up employees to focus on more meaningful work. I’ve heard the push to “hit the phones hard today” in freight brokerage for almost 15 years, and the fact is times have changed. People don’t want to use the phone today the way that they used to. In the modern era, the phone should be used to build relationships, not just to exchange data. We taught carriers sales to our AI. Now it negotiates me down every time 🥲 Exciting news today, freight enthusiasts! 🚛 At Happyrobot we build AI assistants to automate calls in logistics. And carrier sales is by far one of the most interesting and complex use cases we've tackled so far. Payment status updates? Easy! Check calls? A breeze! But carrier sales? Now that's a different ball game. Selling a load properly has a lot of nuance. For instance, if you're selling flatbed, you'd better know the different between skidded and non-skidded coils. Did you know that? I didn't, but our AI sure does. 😎 But the real challenge is negotiation. If you're any good doing carrier sales, you'll have to learn how to negotiate. And you'd better do that, cause carriers will definitely try to get the best rate for them. You put everything into the mix, and you get a pretty good AI carrier sales rep that frees up your human reps to do more sales and focus on actual relationships.
