Restoring the Historic Hangar 79: A Structure that the Survived the Pearl Harbor Attack. Capt. Jeremiah Wiltron is a member of the United States Air Force and a supervisor of Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s Automation Specialist team. The PG&E team deploys and maintains Eaton 4260 HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces), which are part of a modern PG&E #substation design. The HMI enables visibility and control by interacting with Transmission and Distribution SCADA systems. Recently Jeremiah led the U.S. Air Force 307th - one of the five units that worked on the restoration of the historic Hangar 79, a structure that survived the attack on Pearl Harbor in World War II. This project is being done through the Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) program, a United States Department of Defense initiative that provides #military units with joint #training opportunities to increase deployment readiness while simultaneously helping #communities across America. Under Jeremiah’s leadership, military personnel learned valuable skills and preserved a vital piece of U.S. history, and saving the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum of Ford Island over $750,000 in labor costs. Jeremiah applies the same level of #commitment and #strategicthinking in his role at PG&E as he does in his military duties. His dual role as a military leader and PG&E supervisor is a testament to his #resilience, #adaptability and #unwavering #dedication to #service. #SaluteToService #Dedication #CoworkerPride

Like father like son. Pacific Gas and Electric Company coworker Bryon Jones caught a glimpse of something as he drove away when finishing his workday in #Marysville, a small handwritten sign in a window of a nearby home that read “HELP” and knocked on the front door to find an elderly woman had been without power as temperatures reached 114 degrees. When it comes to acts of #bravery and #selflessness, we’ve got some #coworkers who are role models. Take lineworker Sal Culcasi who came to the rescue of a woman trapped in a crashed vehicle on fire, pulling her out and saving her life. Or Justina Haley, a senior project controls analyst, whose persistence and attention to her surroundings led her to save a woman who suffered a medical episode at the gym. Finally, there’s gas service representative Gus Rivera, who helped save an elderly bedridden customer from carbon monoxide poisoning — and check out what Capt. Brian Gage of the had to say about him in the video. Sal, Justina and Gus are proof that not all #superheroes wear capes and they are worthy recipients of our Britton Award for Bravery and a special place among our #PGEChampions.
