Motivation
[edit]Unique venues intrinsically have a unique place name, but chains have the same place name and a unique number identifies this place. For most, but not all (see: Starbucks (Q37158)), chains, at least in the United States, this number is numerical and is incremented with each new store that is opened. If a store is closed, the number is not re-used. Right now, I'm using series ordinal (P1545), which seems wrong? U+1F360 (talk) 18:41, 9 October 2022 (UTC)
Discussion
[edit]- Comment Would that still be used as qualifier to part of the series (P179)? Or as main value? Jean-Fred (talk) 16:09, 10 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Jean-Frédéric: As a main value since it's not necessarily a "series", that's just typically how it is. For instance, Starbucks Coffee #64900 (Q114562214) isn't the 64,900th store, considering that they only have 33,000 stores. U+1F360 (talk) 17:13, 10 October 2022 (UTC)
