- "Where's the ushabti?"
"Well.. I mean, if you were going to hide it for all eternity, you'd probably want to put it in a place where the average looter wouldn't think to look." - âMarc Spector and Steven Grant[src]
Ammit's Ushabti is the ushabti used by the Ennead Council to imprison Ammit.
History[]
Imprisonment[]
Deciding to imprison Ammit, the Ennead Council imprisoned her in an ushabti. Not knowing who to trust, the Ennead Council gave the ushabti to a medjay named Senfu, who was tasked with hiding the ushabti in a tomb, away form the gods. Senfu then drew a map to the tomb using the night sky, and the location of the tomb, and the map, were buried with him in his sarcophagus.[1]
Freed[]
Taking the ushabti from Steven Grant, who had found it in the Tomb of Alexander the Great, Arthur Harrow took Ammit's Ushabti back to the Great Pyramid of Giza. There, he smashed the ushabti, freeing Ammit form her prison, and letting her loose on the world.[2]
Capabilities[]
- Imprisonment: Ammit's Ushabti is powerful enough to contain Ammit's spirit and to keep her at bay for years.
