Oh man this was a bust...I mean I LOVE Arata, by far one of the better harem protagonists out there but this was really abrupt in pacing which makes it hard to care for what you are watching. Some nice fanservice here and there and your typical Arata don't-give-a-fuck-I-want-all-the-girls behavior!

This movie follows the same formula as the TV series... fanservice; new threat appears; overcome challenges; set up a cliffhanger. In short, for those that enjoyed the previous seasons.

Apparently based off a spinoff light novel, this movie has a very plastic canned feel to it. One might even go so far as to call its plot (script/direction) juvenile compared to the main series. That said, it's still fun to watch... as a 3-ep filler arc that didn't make the cut in the main series... If you're a fan of the original show, you'll want to watch this just to get your fill of the characters while... hopefully... (check the after credits scene)... they'll maybe really get around to making season 2 based off the manga...
