I REALLY wanna say that this was AMAZING!
However, I just can't. AS a HUGE Anime Romance fan, I just cant bring myself to say this is a GREAT series. Yeah sure, the heart string tugging moments are decent and the characters were likeable? Especially the somewhat-stoic and melancholy female lead. Unfortunately this had MANY issues when it comes to story and pacing!!
The intro is SUPER rushed and, we BARELY get any substance on the MALE lead, Some backstory IS told, but it seems like it had no substantial IMPACT! Yes, that is the word im looking for!
The story is like... Is VERY cliche and mind you, when it comes to series like these, they can be tolerated, because its written in the formula of a rom-com/rom-drama type of anime.There is almost no flow to the story line other than = Geeky guy. meets good looking girl, and somehow on a whim they end up together? Its still a decent watch if you love the genre like I do, just don't expect much!!

Sweet like youthful life!
At 1st, it gave me that too-good-to-be-true otaku with beautiful gf story feel. But it quickly got me cheering & rooting for the main couple (and eventually the other couples too). It's really about exploring love and relationship and overcoming various shortcoming together. It can be stressful, when some misunderstandings was due to lack of communication or just been dense, but that's life and I enjoy that warm fuzzy feeling when finally things works out. At some point I even got protective of the FL and her relationship.
The animation is inconsistent in quality, and the repetitive cause for arguments can be tiresome. But I must admit I really enjoy this cheerful, bright love story, how the characters interact, the awesome seiyuu Serizawa Yuu and the music! Sure left me with a lot smiles and butterflies in my tummy.
S2 is definitely for me. Highly recommended for light hearted love story junkies or just to feel good. 7/10!

If there is one word to describe this anime, it would be 'rushed'. Everything in this production suffered from it. Animation was decent in some episodes but in others, such as Ep. 11, it was evident that the studio was desperate to launch it as soon as possible, cutting corners to its quality control team. Likewise, the plot itself was altered greatly. I have not read the manga, but I have read the commentaries section of the fansub of my choice, where people who have read it complained over how entire key sections of the plot were missing or shortened dramatically. What we got was not a bad plot, but it could have been much better. Fortunately, there is a second season coming, so I hope that the producers learn and do not repeat the same issues that plagued 3D Kanojo, because the concept is good and still has potential.
Recommended for casual romance fans, but more serious and passionate viewers may be disappointed with this one.

Mostly a nice shoujo story.
The various characters were quite diverse - some likeable and some unlikeable. I liked the different relationships and situations going on between them. It turned the story from "rather plain" to "alright".
The animation... was quite good in most episodes and really bad in some others. What I liked best were the backgrounds which looked good. The character design was sometimes nice, mostly plain and rarely ugly - sadly it wasn't consistent.
I hope everything will get better in the 2nd season. All in all a nice story and an interesting mix of everything.
