This was simply brilliant. It is one of those dark, irreverent comedy series which guarantees to keep you laughing with every episode. When the Yakuza meets the effete underground idol scene, you can't go wrong. The plot is simple but well-executed, the comedy and theme are fresh and the protagonists are anti-moe, brutally honest, and just absurdly hillarious. The voice acting perfectly adjusts to the tone of the plot, while the animation isn't the greatest, but because of the quality of the rest of the production values, it can be forgiven.
It is a great series if you like the Yakuza subgenre, or if you are a fan of the idol subgenre, but are looking for something fresh and, well, not so moe. And it is on Netflix, making it a really good alternative to the more mainstream and tame anime usually found there. Highly recommended.
