Manaka Junpei races to the rooftop of his middle school one day, only to be surprised by a falling angel — a beautiful girl wearing strawberry (ichigo) panties. Against the backdrop of a setting sun, she runs away, dropping her notebook. Junpei returns the notebook to the student whose name is listed in it, to Toujou Aya, but he is disappointed to find out that she is not the girl that he met on the rooftop. On a dare from his friends, he decides to confess to the most beautiful girl in 3rd year class, Nishino Tsukasa. While her hairstyle is different from the girl of his dreams, she is both very beautiful and she is wearing strawberry panties, so she must have been the girl that he met on the rooftop, or was she?

I seem to recall this show being a bit controversial in fansub circles when it first aired because it was a decent story (the cliches weren't as old-hat then as they are now), but its potential was "wasted" on gratuitous ecchi. On top of that, the production values were quite good, including really cute character art and an ED song that's basically a classic (at least as an export). Since this show aired, numerous others have come out using the same basic template, so this show's horribly cliche to modern standards (and it wasn't really the first, anyway), but it's still quite good, and it serves as an excellent historical snapshot for the evolution over the years of ecchi haremcom/love triangle shows. For romcom fans not offended by modern "old-school" ecchi, this show's basically must see, but for people who can't stand ecchi, give this one a miss because there are many other "cleaner" shows out there that tell the same story.

Typically passive protagonist, but some OK support characters. It's paced well enough to watch all the way through, but not a great series by any stretch. It does give a glimpse of adolescent sexual awakening.

I always recommend this one to new anime watchers. It's a great indicator to whether you like ecchi or not, since it's more then bearable as a romance anime, but get's even better if you like ecchi.

This anime's not quite bad. None of the characters were annoying, but still it lacked romance in so many aspects. It's a harem anime after all. So go for it, if you enjoy harem and ecchi, leading to basically nowhere in the end.

A very enjoyable light harem anime. Animation is a bit rough but that can be forgiven as the girls are all nice to look at thanks to the great character designs. Although it's adapted from a fairly long running manga, I did find the anime satisfying by the end. The OVAs are well worth checking out too.

I normally don't like ecchi anime that much but this one is an exception. I saw it whe it just came out and just finished a second time just now. Somewhat underrated series, this is a good watch if you like romance anime with some tasteful ecchi. It has lots of very funny scenes and the girls are all cute (and not annoying). This anime made me pinch my eyes and yell "YAAAAAAA" lots of time ^ ^ [7.5/10].

It's a very good harem/romance/school life anime. One of the strongest point of this anime is the characters of the female lead. It will leave you a strong impact on you. AND if you aren't just satisfied with this it also exist also a continuation in form of a manga !!!
