I wonder if it would be possible to load a bunch of wiki pages into pre-set frames in an HTML page and use a util to select/highlight/delete/enter each individual frame. Like lets say you load 1000 popular wiki pages into a 1000 frameset. That would keep you busy huh? LoL. 206.117.138.216 206.117.138.216 04:43, 1 December 2005 (UTC)

==pstricks code for your dual graphs?==
[edit]Hiya, I've been admiring the two dual graph jpegs on your userpage. I'm assuming they were made with pstricks. It looks like it would be a nice way to make extensive form game trees. Do you have the code used for those graphs? I'd be keen to see it. -Cheers, Pete.Hurd 06:53, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
- I'm not sure, I think the Dual Graphs were actually done on Xfig. (Hint: notice the sansserif upright letters, whereas pstricks uses latex-like cursive letters) -- ( drini's vandalproof page ☎ ) 06:55, 2 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit]Dear Drini,
I would like to thank you for supporting me on my RfA. Even though it failed with a with the final tally of 55/22/6, I want to thank you anyways. I don't want to be one a admin anymore until I reach 10,000 edits now that it's over with. Thanks --Jaranda wat's sup 03:37, 9 December 2005 (UTC)Someone who makes this argument to get unblocked after being correctly blocked for vandalism, doesn;t seem trustworthy to me. I recognize that we want to give people secodn chances, but he would have had one when his block expired. But someone who threatens to do it again, doesn't seem like they've repented. No vandalism yet, but I hope you made the right decisisio in removing that block. I wouldn't have been so lenient with an argument liek that. Just my OP. have a good one.Gator (talk) 18:29, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah well, it took me some time to learn WP:AGF and this approach has worked me before. It's been a day already and it's being fine. Moreover, it's not like he can't be reblocked if he reincides (and in such case, I bet it's going to be pretty hard to get an admin to unblock him) -- ( drini's page ☎ ) 18:54, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
I'm not trying to unblock, no admin would do that, not even if I were an admin would I do somethign like that. I'm willing to see what happens here too. I just disagreed. We'll see what happens. I hope you're right. Have a good one.Gator (talk) 18:57, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
- Yes I understand that, I'm only explaining that it's not really a big problem, if he vandalizes again he can be reblocked inmediately, but by unblocking him (and so far he's been behaving) we for a start stopped the editwarring on the talk page, and open the way for him (or someone else on that IP) maybe adding some good content. My point then is: Unblocking is not big deal, if it goes wrong the block returns , period. On the other hand, we reduce wikihate by trying. -- ( drini's page ☎ ) 19:01, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
I agree with all of that. You are a more patient person than I am.Gator (talk) 19:03, 9 December 2005 (UTC)

They are twins that are in some way good at chess, but nowhere at the level of anyone anyone else on that list. To put into prespective Kevin and Pauls ratings are 1600ish while everyone else on that list havs a rating of 2200+ If you don't know what you are deleting then please don't just delete it. While the content might have made no sense to you it made sense to everyone else that knows the 2 people in question. [edit]Hi Drini
I noticed your user page link on the robert frost history where you refer to it as "vandal proof". I added a small sentence to your user page ("vandal proof test" iirc). It was removed almost immediately by Lbmixpro - were they just a diligent wikipedian or evidence of a vandal proof user page? If the latter, how is that accomplished (if not a trade secret - on wikipedia, shame the thought ;)? Many thanks. --Tomandlu 23:41, 14 December 2005 (UTC)

Permaculture
[edit]Hi Drini. We need someone to look over Permaculture, and I guess referee a little. Don’t know if you would be interested or not. Right now it has a –NPOV- tag on it that appears to me to be fine to take down, but another opinion is needed.
The other editor is a guy named Sholto Maud User:Sholto Maud. He seems to have fights going on on multiple fronts, mostly relating to trying to connect almost everything under the sun to Howard T. Odum. (Well, maybe it would be better to say that he has had multiple fights over the last month, not all at this time – its just Permacultures turn it seems)
I haven’t even suggested to him yet that an outside referee is needed, so I would understand if you wanted to avoid jumping into the fire at this time, I may be asking for a referee prematurely, not real sure about that..
The relevant discussion about the tag is at Talk:Permaculture Neutrality. And about Odum in the next section right after Neutrality, which I just added. Thanks much for any help or advice Brimba 06:13, 19 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit]Albanians...
[edit]Why were my additions to the Albanians page deleted? They were true, valid contributions. I added more to symbolism, an explanation of why the current Albanian flag is used. Plus, I added another prominent non-Albanian that studies the Albanian language.
Can you please give me an explanation and explain what I must do in order to successfully contribute to this encyclopedia? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shqype (talk • contribs)
- Well I don't think adding that lisas cool it's a very good contribution. Here's the diff [7] and although albaninas are amazing, I don't thikn that was a very encyclopedic statement [8]. SO I rolledback, unfortunately I missed that you had done several contribs on a row and they were all undone. I understand, for that I am very sorry, my younger sister is rather immature (She's the "Lisa" that wrote that). We were using a cable router, thus the same IP/internet connection. She was scolded but her actions were enough to get my legitimate additions deleted. I will reinstate the legitimate encyclopedic contributions. I see.
[edit]I appreciate your feedback and help. As you can probably guess, this is my first redirect. I embarked on this project knowing it would be my most ambitious new article but not anticipating how new article patrol would ignore my edit note and nominate the first save for AfD.
Writing under scrutiny of AfD has made this difficult task harder. I've never doubted that the article would be kept. Yet the process exposed the work in progress to exactly the attention I'd hoped to avoid. This subject demands a tasteful and balanced approach. No early draft can hope to meet that standard.
This AfD abused both my good faith and the readers'. It gave editors who were most able to make positive contributions a misleading impression about the value of doing so. The overwhelming positive votes do not compensate for that loss. Durova 07:47, 26 December 2005 (UTC)
- Well from what I see the article will be kept. However I sympathize with you. AFD is a really stressing process If you need assistance, I'm usually around and you can request assistance from me. (however I'll be away a couple of days from next tuesday and rest of week). Try not to become discouraged, and I apologize if I was a little bit too short on my explanation, it's jsut that I'm already tired at this time of the day, after lot of cleaning up during the daytime. PS.:(I also use CDVF)
- Well, User:Pgk is developing the new bot, it's done in python. I have almost a packaged to unzip and run out-of-the-box, but due me not having much access until 2nd week of january, I don't have it right now. Basically you need these dependencies:
- Twisted.words from http://twistedmatrix.com/projects/words
- Twisted words depends on Twisted.core: [9]
above packages are the ones who handle the raw irc stuff. Twisted.core depends on Zope.interface which you may or may not have. In any case, you can get it from
- Zope.interface [10]
It's a bot designed to run unattended (so it doesn't ned a gui program like mIRC, it can run within a detached screen. You only need to do a minor configuration before running it, which will be included in the package I'm making. I'll drop you a note as soon as I finish it. -- ( drini's page ☎ ) 21:02, 30 December 2005 (UTC)

- It uses html colors, I doubt there's a complete table. For instance #878da4 is RGB: 87 for red, 8d for green, a4 for blue (those numbers in hexadecimal). -- ( drini's page ☎ ) 16:38, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
