Queen Ramonda is the Queen of Wakanda, the wife of T'Chaka, and the mother of T'Challa and Shuri.
Biography[]
Meeting Her Nephew[]
As the Queen of Wakanda, Ramonda mourned the loss of her son T'Challa, who had been killed during a mission. She was then utterly surprised when Erik Killmonger made his way to the country, claiming to be N'Jadaka, son of N'Jobu, as she believed that N'Jobu had died without any child. However, due to her husband T'Chaka welcoming Killmonger into the Golden Tribe, Ramonda had to respect his decision, unaware that Killmonger actually was to blame for her son's death.[1]

Due to her position as both the Queen of Wakanda and a General of the Dora Milaje, Ramonda took part in a war council in preparation for an assault perpetrated by the United States of America with a fleet of Stark Liberator Drones. Despite her initial reluctances, she gave her assent to Erik Killmonger's plan which consisted in letting the drones behind the protective dome of Wakanda before reactivating it to shut down their satellite uplink.
Before the battle, Ramonda commanded the Wakandan troops, rallying them with her battle cry of her deceased son's name. She observed with satisfaction the drones effectively deactivating themselves as predicted by Killmonger, but when they began marching onto the Golden City once again, Ramonda had no choice but to lead the charge against them, protected by the shields of the Border Tribe. During the battle, Ramonda was able to take down several Liberator drones. She then witnessed Killmonger join into the battle, and was impressed when he saved Okoye from a drone. She then kept on battling, even piercing through two drones with her Vibranium Spear, until all the drones were destroyed.
Once the battle ended, Ramonda gave a nod of approval to Killmonger as the Wakandan armies celebrated their victories.[1]
Personality[]
As the Queen of Wakanda, Ramonda was a proud and dignified woman who served her country well, both politically and militarily as she led the Dora Milaje with the title of General. Despite her distrust of Erik Killmonger, she accepted that he was welcomed into the Golden Tribe, and valued his prowess in battle during the Invasion of Wakanda, smiling upon hearing him charge at the battle cry of "Wakanda Forever!" and giving him a nod of approval, especially after he saved Okoye. However, Ramonda was unaware that Killmonger actually was to blame for her son's death and for orchestrating the whole American-Wakandan War.
Abilities[]
- Master Martial Artist: As leader of the Dora Milaje and Queen of Wakanda, Ramonda has been trained throughout her life in various forms of combat, both armed and unarmed, as well as in the unique martial arts of her people. She was able to easily defeat several Stark Liberator Drones.
- Spear Mastery: Ramonda is extremely skilled at using her Vibranium Spear in close quarters combat and as a long ranged weapon, being able to easily overpower several Liberator Drones.
- Bilingualism: Ramonda is fluent in her native Xhosa, as well as English.

- Dora Milaje Armor: As the leader of the Dora Milaje, Ramonda wears an armor for combat. Being made of Vibranium weaves, the armor offers high durability and protection.

- Citadel: As the Queen of Wakanda, Ramonda resided in the palace of the Golden Tribe, where she would often be seen in the throne room, for example taking part in war councils.
