Rumor: Insider Hints at Game-Changing Nintendo Switch 2 Feature

The Nintendo Switch 2 might feature two screens, as recently suggested by a well-known industry insider, as well as a separate report from Taiwan. Though this isn't the first time the possibility of a dual-screen Switch successor was brought up, prior reports about the unannounced console's design have been inconsistent.

The oldest indication of Nintendo possibly working on another dual-screen device dates back to April 2020, when a security researcher dug up some references to such a product in the 10.0 firmware update for the Switch. Nintendo subsequently patented a dual-screen device that can be split in half in late 2023.

A recently emerged report from the Taiwan Economic Daily has now claimed that the Switch 2 will feature two screens.
