Is there a new game plus campaign?

1. Despite having only 12 story missions, Aliens Dark Descent offers a long campaign that can take most players 30-40 hours. Replaying it with the same rules may be burdensome.
2. Unfortunately, the game does not have a New Game Plus mode, meaning you cannot transfer any progress from a previously completed campaign (e.g. marines with skills, weapons, bigger APC or developed technologies). You have to start each new campaign from scratch and level up your soldiers, get collectibles, conduct research, and explore the maps.

Is there endgame after completing the storyline?

In Aliens Dark Descent, you can return to already visited locations during the campaign as new deployments. Pausing missions is actually recommended to replace marines with rested ones. In the campaign, you will also return to several maps to complete new mission objectives and explore new areas.

Unfortunately, the game does not have endgame and you cannot continue playing after completing the main story. After completing the final mission 12, you will return to the main menu. You can load the save from before the last mission or start a new game.

Try to do everything before the last mission, i.e.:

1. explore the maps from previous missions carefully;
2. get all the secrets and collectibles, i.e. Xenotech and datapads;
3. finish all research projects in the laboratory;
4. develop the squad - level up marines and assign them the best gear.

Before starting mission 12, you can also make deployments in old locations, but remember about the Death Clock, which we described on a separate page. You can fail the campaign if you use up all the available days too early.
