Basic information and the map of Foundation Sector

The map above shows 13 main areas of the Foundation sector that have their signatures and marking on the map in the game. In the following section of this page we have posted information about collectibles that can be discovered in each of these locations. We added pictures to help you find some of the well-hidden secrets.

Some collectibles can be found in the astral plane and we discussed them in a separate section - the astral plane. Unfortunately, this area does not offer the possibility to use the map.

1 - Research Site Gamma

Log 1: Discovery - a tape recorder lies on the ground next to an encampment in the research site area.

Hotline: The Foundation - the recording automatically switches on shortly after leaving the Research Site Gamma for the first time, en route to the location of the Cave System.

2 - Chasm

VHS Tape Supplement - the documentary lies on the ground in an encampment with a cage to trap the TV - an object of power (it takes place during the Found Footage side mission).

VHS Tape Procedures - the document will be automatically obtained after completing the side task called Found Footage - we have described it in our walkthrough.

Talented Janitor - the document is in a secret area in dark caves explored during the Found Footage mission. You can also return to the caves after completing this task and light them up with a portable lamp. Find the collapsed passage from the picture and get rid of the boulders with the help of telekinesis. A cat figurine can be found in the same place - this place was more accurately described on the Maneki-neko figurines page of our guide. Check the description of statue no. 2.

3 - Cave System

Cave Paintings - the document lies under a small desk located in the cave grounds, next to a chest obscured and protected by crystals.

Hiss Sharpened - you should get this document after defeating the first Hiss Sharpened opponents (a new type of enemy in The Foundation DLC).

Relocation Order - the document lies on the ground in the place where you fought the Hiss Sharpened enemies. There is also a yellow bulldozer in this area.

4 - Cave Bleed

Foundation Accident - the document lies on the ground in a cave south of the entrance to the cave.

Astral Copy - the document will be unlocked after defeating a new variety of monsters that will be encountered for the very first time in this location.

5 - Deep Cavern

Adventure Accepted - the document is in the campground marked in the screenshot, which you can optionally visit on your way from the Gamma Research Site area to the main part of the Deep Cavern.

Log 4: The ID - the tape recorder is in the same location as the document described above - in the encampment, which can be accessed on the way to the Deep Cavern.

6 - Crossroads

Leylines - the document lies on the floor of the encampment that is adjacent to the Nail. You'll find it next to a big yellow generator.

Foundation Pillar - the document lies on the floor of the encampment that is adjacent to the Nail. It lies on a blue mat next to computers and a whiteboard.

Log 2: Foundation - a tape recorder can be found on the floor inside the Yellow Building.

Unacceptable Behavior Memo - the document is located in a secret area under the main section of the intersection. To get information on how to get there, go to the Hidden locations page and read the description of Hidden location no. 1.

Hotline: Rituals - the recording will automatically be unlocked after completing The Foundation main mission.

Log 7: Changes - you can find the tape recorder by jumping into the pit shown in the picture. This is possible after you begin the Pyramid main task. The pit is located in the central part of the Crossroads location, not far from where Emily Pope stands.

Hotline: Two Birds, One Bomb - the recording automatically gets displayed on your way to the base of the Nail during the Pyramid mission.

Log 8: Purpose - tape recorder can be found right next to the Lower Crossroads control point. You can only get there while you're completing the main Pyramid mission.

7 - Warehouse Path

There are no secrets in this area.

8 - Warehouse

Meteor Hill Summary - The document is in a room on one of the upper levels of the tower. You can't get there by using the elevator. Instead, you have to reach the hole highlighted in the picture. This will be possible by climbing onto scaffolding adjacent to the tower and using the Shape power to pull out the side platforms. In the same room, one of the ID cards needed to complete the Pope collection side mission also can be found.

History of the Oldest House - the document lies on a desk in one of the small yellow buildings.

Pyramidic Geometry - the document is on a bed in one of the small yellow buildings.

Log 3: Work - tape recorder lies on the floor of Level 1 of the tower (Warehouse Entrance), next to the elevator shaft.

Power Cores - the document lies on the floor of Level 2 of the Tower (Power Core Storage). You'll find it to the right of the generator, where you need to put the power core.

Log 5: Pyramids - the tape recorder lies on the floor at Level 3 of the tower (Tunnel Access). You'll find it next to the barrel and scaffolding used to reach the hole in the wall.

Hotline: Becoming Director - the recording automatically switches on when you pass through the upper caves adjacent to the tower.

Meteor Hill Supplement - the document is on Level 4 of the tower, and you can only reach it by passing through a hole in the tower wall. Start at the Warehouse Tunnel control point and follow the tunnel until you return to the main tower area. You must reach the gap shown in the picture above. The secret lies on the ground next to the elevator shaft (optionally, you can call the elevator and unlock that floor).

Ash: Request Denied - the document is in a room on the lowest level of the tower (not counting its basement). You can get there through the doors shown in the picture, but only after you have starter the Pope's Collection side quest - check out our walkthrough to find out how to unlock this quest.

Northmoor: Final Warning - the document is in an area with a smaller version of the nail located on Level 0 of the Tower - Basement Lab. You can only get there once you've started the Pope's Collection side quest In addition, as part of this quest, you must first deal with Processes Designer Gibbs boss.

Northmoor: Medical Results - this document is located on one of the initially inaccessible floors of the tower. The only way to get there is through a hole in the tower wall at Level 3 - Tunnel Access. This allows Jesse to reach the lower hole. It is one of the hidden locations and the way of finding it has been described in more detail on a separate page of our game guide. In our description, it is Hidden location no. 10.

Foundation Etchings - this document is located on one of the initially inaccessible floors of the tower. Start at the Warehouse Rise. After you reach the first major cavern, find the area on the left of the picture, which you will recognize by noticing the two wooden barricades. Go to a hole in the tower wall visible behind the barricades.

9 - Canyon Rim

Hotline: Out of Options - the recording will automatically turn on when you start exploring the area.

10 - Fractured Cavern

There are no secrets in this area.

11 - Base Camp

There are no secrets in this area.

12 - Collapsed Department

Shift Account PT. 1 - you can find the document soon after you enter the collapsed section and find the first control point. It's in the upper room of the office - use levitation to get there.

Kyiv Summary - this document is also next to the first control point. You have to get to the gate and the metal detector on the other side. You can optionally open the gate from this side to make it easier for yourself to return to the control point.

Kyiv Supplement - the document can also be found at the gates and metal detector in the initial section of the Collapsed Department section.

America Overnight Ep. The 367 - tape recorder is located in the Data Entry and Filing room visited in the initial section of the Collapsed Department location. After dealing with your opponents, explore one of the higher office spaces.

Computer Program - the document is in the so-called astral toilet which we have described, among other things, in our trophy guide. Take a look at the toilets as you leave the Data Entry and Filing room. One of them is actually an astral toilet and you'll notice a levitating object in it.

America Overnight Ep. 382 - a tape recorder can be found in one of the rooms next to the Transit Access control point. It lies on the floor next to a large photocopier.

Shift Account PT. 2 - the document lies on one of the computer stations near the Transit Access control point.

Movie Camera Supplement - the document can be found in one of the cabinets in the final stages of exploration of the Collapsed Department section, near the passageway to the adjacent Transit Access location.

Shift Account PT. 3 - a document lies on a desk in the final areas of Collapsed Department. It is a location adjacent to the rising gates that lead towards the monolith.

Hotline: End of the World - the recording automatically switches on at the end of the march to the monolith in the Collapsed Department section.

13 - Transit Access

Movie Camera Procedures - the document is automatically obtained after completion of Jesse Faden's Starring in The Swift Platform episode side quest that is available at this location.

New Language - the document is located in an elevator that Jesse can call by pressing a button. There's a monster which will come out of the elevator that needs to be killed first. This location is a secret area and we have described it in more detail on a separate site of our guide - Hidden locations - check the description of Hidden location no. 6.

Brian's Movie Den Ep. 3 - the video can be found in a dark toilet near a passageway leading to the Transit Access location. Destroy the crystals with Fracture service weapon to get there.

Astral plane

Were-Everything - the document can be found on the ground shortly after you begin exploration of the Astral Collision location. For the record, this is a unique location first visited in the Nail main task. After unlocking the control points, Jesse can also freely return to this area later in the game.

Maneki-neko Procedures - it's another document that can be found during initial exploration of the Astral Collision, even before the first control point was found.

FBC Reminder: Windows - you will find this tape recorder next to the first control point in the Astral Plane, that is, Astral Collision.

Green - the document can be found during the exploration of the eastern part of the astral plane, shortly after unlocking the control point of the Astral Platform PE.

Log 6: Departure - a tape recorder can be found during the exploration of the eastern part of the astral plane. This takes place shortly before clearing the control point of Astral Tower PE.

Rejected Episode - the TV with the recording can be found right next to the Astral Tower PE control point. When you reach this location, use levitation to reach a small tower adjacent to the control points - this location is shown in the attached picture. This area is also a Hidden location, which we have described in detail in a separate chapter. This is specifically location no. 9 in our hidden areas walkthrough.

America Overnight Fatality - the document can be found next to the control point of Astral Tower PW. After you get there, look around to find the collectible which is lying on the ground next to the large boulders.
