Another remake on our list comes as no surprise, considering how good previous remakes of the iconic Resident Evil series have been. Part four is no different, continuing Capcom's great streak in its remake achievements. In the new version, we play the role of a former police officer from Raccoon City, Leon, again, and are looking for the missing daughter of the US president, lost somewhere in the Spanish countryside. Compared to the 2005 original, the graphics have been completely refreshed, new character models have been created and locations have been redesigned. The mechanics and controls have also been adapted to modern standards.
The original itself was a very good production in terms of plot, vibe, action, intensity of clashes with zombies and diversity in every aspect, which didn't let us bored even for a moment. The remake turns all this to eleven, giving us more fun and increasing the quality. It's so good and "modern" that you don't even need nostalgia to appreciate its numerous advantages. In times when remakes and remasters often scare you with their technical condition, it's worth appreciating one that still scares with its atmosphere and heats up emotions with great gameplay.
Resident Evil 4 freaked us out when we were younger, but it still leaves us shaken (in a good way) nearly two decades later while setting the benchmark for what survival horrors and remakes should look like.
