Capcom maintained the excellent momentum after the Resident Evil series and with the extremely successful Village, it provides a continuation of the solutions introduced in the seventh installment of the series. It's also the culmination of the story of Ethan Winters, the hero we met in the previous game.

In Resident Evil Village, we have to save the kidnapped daughter of Ethan. We come to the Gothic castle of Lady Dimitrescu and visit the estates of local lords. Various stages are characterized by different shades of horror. The House of Benevento is one of the most terrifying locations in the history of interactive horror movies. Heisenberg's industrial factory strikes with a climate reminiscent of the film Frankenstein's Army by Richard Raaphorst. Alternatively, it can also evoke the bodyhorror Tetsuo from Shinya Tsukamoto. All this makes our adventure a very shocking experience.

However, what matters most is the gameplay, and in this respect, we are dealing with a proper evolution of the successful solutions known from part seven. It is a survival horror intertwining stages in which we feel oppressed with action sequences. In both cases, Village works very well and it's impossible not to list this game among the best productions available on PS5.
