Mario & Luigi: Brothership is the sixth main part of the series of games with RPG and arcade elements, launched in 2003. Unlike previous installments of the series, created by the AlphaDream studio that existed from 2000-2019, this game was developed directly by Nintendo, the company overseeing the brand.

Plot

As the title suggests, the main characters of Mario & Luigi Brothership are the brothers Mario and Luigi. The protagonists find themselves on a piece of land known as Shipshape, which is partly a ship and partly an island, from where they go on a journey around the vast world of Concordia. Our heroes experience various adventures and meet both old acquaintances from the Mushroom Kingdom, like Peach or Bowser, as well as completely new characters, led by Connie and Snoutlet.

Gameplay

In Mario & Luigi Brothershipwe watch events from various angles. The adventure leads us through colorful locations, among which we will find tropical forests and bustling cities, and its driving force are the quests assigned to us by the characters we meet along the way.

While completing subsequent missions and rushing around Concordia, Mario and Luigi must constantly cooperate. Only by working together can they solve environmental puzzles, as well as face platform challenges requiring agility and reflexes.

They also regularly face opponents on their way. Although the combat system implemented in the game is turn-based, it is diversified by action elements. If we want to perform a powerful attack or dodge, we have to press specific buttons at a specific moment.
