Baldur’s Gate 3 Wins BAFTA Game of The Year. Larian Studio With Historic Achievement
Baldur's Gate 3 triumphed at the BAFTA Games Awards, the first title in history to receive statuettes for game of the year at all major events.
The award winners of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts in the games category for 2023 have been revealed. Baldur's Gate 3 was considered the best game, which is no surprise (unlike last year, when Vampire Survivors triumphed).
The hit from Larian studio became the first title in history to win in the "game of the year" category at all the most important industry events, namely BAFTA, Golden Joystick, TGA, DICE, and GDC. The Witcher 3 and Elden Ring were both close to achieving this, but neither of them won the BAFTA trophy.
Baldur's Gate 3 also won in the categories of best music, best story, and best supporting role. The game also received a special award from EE (British industry media network).
Remedy Entertainment studio also has cause for satisfaction, as Alan Wake 2 has triumphed in categories such as the greatest artistic achievement and the best audio. Cyberpunk 2077 was considered the best developing game, while the devs of Viewfinder received the award for the best new brand. However, Dave the Diver was awarded as the best-designed game.
