Collectibles RE: Revelations 2 Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
In Resident Evil: Revelations 2, there are four types of collectibles that you can find. Some of them are common for both Claire and Barry, whereas some are different, and connected with Moira and Natalie.
The first type of collectibles are Documents that you can find all around the place. After you collect them, you can read them by accessing the main menu - there, you can also look up which of the Documents you have already found and how many are still missing. The documents themselves come in a variety of forms - most commonly, these are single slips of paper, sometimes opened books (usually on tables, sometimes on the ground). To collect the document, approach it, as any character and press ([E]).
Other elements that are common for both campaigns are Tower Emblems. Usually, they are better-hidden than Documents. Additionally, collecting them requires destroying them so, you need to have ammo (you do not, in some cases). From the way they look, they resemble blue plates. To collect an emblem, you need to destroy it with a melee attack, throw a brick at it, or with firearms. Just like above, in the menu, you can look up how many you have collected and how many missed.
Kafka Drawings is a separate category of collectibles, which can be found during Claire's campaign. However, drawings themselves are indiscernible for her so, if you want to find them, you need to switch to Moira. Only she can find them with her flashlight, in various places, usually on walls. To collect the drawing, you need to find it first (the blue silhouette), light it ([RMB]) and wait for the drawing to be fully revealed. The contours themselves, can only be spotted if you walk around with your flashlight on.
The last type of collectibles are connected with Barry's and Natalie's campaign. She has a special gift, thanks to which she can sense the aura of the opponents. She can use this same gift to find Insect Larvae, invisible to Barry. To locate them, look out for the blinking red mist in the air, because it is the dead giveaway of the larva's presence. The brick is necessary to destroy the larva (to collect it) - you need to throw the brick towards the mist, as Natalie.
