On this page of the Trek to Yomi guide, you will find information on how to increase the character's health bar permanently. This is important information regarding increasing Hiroki's vitality and his chances of survival. You will also learn when the lost health points can be recovered.
Increasing the health bar permanently
In Trek to Yomi, you don't accumulate XP, so you can't count that leveling will increase Hiroki's health bar. You can do this only by finding Health Upgrades. These items are treated as collectibles, so they are hidden in the game world. Each Health Upgrade you find will slightly increase the bar, and it will stay that way permanently.
The locations of all upgrades (including Health Upgrade) have been included in our walkthrough of the game and in a separate chapter on secrets and collectibles.
Recovering health points
The most important information is that in Trek to Yomi, health cannot regenerate automatically over time. You should keep this in mind and avoid taking any serious damage as it may be difficult for you to reach the next safe place.
The recovery of lost health points takes place mainly at shrines. Interacting with each new shrine not only saves your current game but also allows you to restore your health to the maximum.
The second way of regenerating health is less obvious and involves performing attacks that end your opponents. This action works only on those enemies that you previously managed to stun with, for example, Stunning Combination. We have described this technique in more detail on separate pages, for example, Armored enemies - how to defeat? In this case, you can only recover a small amount of health, but it can still be enough to keep you alive.
