Infosys has been recognized for “Role Model Corporate” award at the National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People
Infosys won an award in the “Role Model Corporate” category at the National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People and Mindtree for striving continuously in raising benchmarks on inclusive practices for people with disability. The objective of the NCPEDP Helen Keller Awards was to start a discourse on equal opportunities for persons with disabilities in the area of employment at a time when no one was even thinking about it. National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People and Mindtree organized their 20th NCPEDP – Mindtree Hellen Keller Awards 2019 on December 2, 2019 in Delhi. The awards are given under three categories. Infosys won an award in the “Role Model Corporate” category for striving continuously in raising benchmarks on inclusive practices for people with disability.
The NCPEDP Helen Keller Awards was instituted in 1999 so as to start a discourse on equal opportunities for persons with disabilities in the area of employment at a time when no one was even thinking about it. Over the past 19 years, these awards have come to be recognized as the most prestigious Indian benchmark for honouring people and organizations which have been working towards promoting employment opportunities for people with disabilities. The event was graced with the presence of many prominent personalities including Mr. Rajiv Kumar, Vice Chairman, NITI Ayog.
