Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel “It Ends With Us” is seeing revived success on Spotify as an audiobook.
The film adaptation of the book, starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, debuted Aug. 9 and has since boosted listening streams of the audiobook on Spotify, the streaming platform said.

Available on Spotify since 2016, the audiobook raked in more than a 200% increase in global average daily listening over the film’s debut weekend according to data pulled Aug. 12, Spotify said.
“It Ends With Us” follows the love story of Lily Bloom and Ryle Kincaid, played by Lively and Baldoni, respectively. When their relationship begins to mirror the domestic abuse that Lily’s mother endured by her father, Ryle and Lily’s love falls apart. But she is offered an exit plan when she runs into Atlas, a former flame.
Dominating TikTok with more than 3 billion views under #itendswithus, the movie’s release has also increased Spotify listens to the film’s official playlist and to Colleen Hoover’s official audiobook playlist with her catalog.
Movie playlist listens increased by more than 3,900% over premiere weekend, Spotify said, and Hoover’s audiobook playlist increased by 570%.
