One night, a college student with a strong sense of justice, Nakata Seigi, saved a gorgeous foreigner, Richard, who was being harassed by some drunks.

When Seigi found out that Richard was a jeweler, he asked for an appraisal on a ring with a shady history; one which his grandmother had kept secret until she died. The appraisal had revealed her past, truth, and desire.

It led Seigi to work as a part-time employee for Richard's jewelry store, the "Jewelry Etranger" in Ginza.

While solving various "mysteries", the relationship between Richard and Seigi gradually changes.

This series is about friendship, parental love, fear, trust, romantic feelings, shame... A wide variety of feelings and touching portraits depicted with sincere and mostly subtle scenes. If you're looking for a slice of life with that kind of focus, there are few better choices.

This anime is not perfect. The backgrounds and animation are sometimes poor, especially after the first episode. The main girl character is strangely side-tracked in the later episodes, probably because the creators wanted to keep the focus on the handsome duo. And the story can go over the top, though rarely. But overall it was a very enjoyable and moving watch.

This is a nice slice-of-life series which gives you some information about gems.

It's mostly about the friendship of both male main characters and the people they meet mostly through work in the jewellery. Sometimes it offers great BL-bait. I was hoping... but nope. No BL. Just BL-bait.

I liked the atmosphere of it. It's mellow and calm and tells a simple story. It offers a bit of drama but no action. The character design is pleasing and matches the atmosphere.

A relaxing series which I enjoyed watching.
