This was a step down for me from the previous season, which was already pretty hit or miss.
An ungodly amount of time is wasted on flashbacks. I say wasted because even with all that time spent on it, it didn't make me invested in the characters in the slightest.
If you're here just for the fights, those are pretty good. Except for the final one, which was not only lazily animated, but also just boring and predictable in all the worst ways.
The kind of season you watch exactly once.

S2 is identical in structure to the previous season... drawn out fights, flashbacks, commentary by spectators and way too much focus on Geir (little Valkyrie) being annoying. Honestly, what's intriguing about this series are the initial match-ups. If the filler elements were taken out, this would've been better paced and half the episodes. All in all, if you enjoyed the previous season, this is more of the same. For me, this is an intriguing concept but poorly executed.
