As others have said before me, it's a slow paced fighting anime where every battle is a boss battle, which in concept sounds cool. But what you end up with is gratuitous fighting scenes with tons of blood and gore. They show throws you for a loop in regards to which one will win the match it was hard for me to guess.
It's usually a match-up of hero vs anti-hero, (where either could be God or Human contestant) and each win matches. They try to draw on excessively on the emotion of the watcher for characters we haven't been able to develop a relationship for so it means very little.
On the whole it's something you could watch while doing something else, have it running in the background. Match ups are interesting but each of the characters are wacky and not exactly as depicted in the lore, but it's anime and this one is not geared to make sense.

Obviously not one to watch for the story or characters, but the insane fights, which are definitely worth it.
The fights are a little too predictable and slowly paced, but the animation is good and most importantly the premise is just a lot of very insane fun.
Also: Aphrodite's tits are so enormous that she has two servants hold them up for her 100% of the time and it's hilarious.
Topped off with a cliffhanger, which is bold, considering a new season is far from guaranteed. Would watch, though.

Had a lot of expectation given the story sounds interesting. But instead of action pack fighting anime, it focus more on background story of each characters, and the fight between human and god was just so so, not much details in the fighting scenes.

The concept of a fighting tournament for the Gods vs the greatest human warriors was very appealing. What I liked about this series was the question of "can a human defeat a God?" and unique match ups. However, some stuff I did not like was there was this one character that complained throughout the show and the fights dragged on for too long with flashbacks. Overall, the concept was cool, but had a lot of issues to make this an okay watch.

A very easy yet hard recommendation. Very obvious who would love this: Any fighting fan, or maybe a bit of sport anime fan (as I am).
Great at building tension, making everything totally 50/50 till the end. It's definitely much more than what I thought, but still far away from its max potential.
Some flaws: Fight can drag out due to reactions, and too little in 12 episodes. This series can easily get better with more fights. The formula is nice, but they need more as an anime.
