We asked you to get creative and get snapping with THE BOSS Edition paint job for the Renault Range Truck in Euro Truck Simulator 2, and disappoint you did not! 

With 4 cool scaled models up for grabs from our friends over at Renault Trucks, you flooded both our and Renault Trucks' social media channels with photos of THE BOSS Edition paint job in action. From pulling heavy loads to taking a leisurely cruise down a country lane, you showed off your new paint job in style; just take a look at the amount of hype you generated on social media! 

With over 2500 submissions made using the hashtag #ImTheBoss across our social media profiles (Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook combined), it would be extremely hard to pick just 4 winners, as from what we've seen so far, pretty much all of the entries are amazing! Hence, we've decided to pick the 4 lucky winners randomly (as it was also pre-announced in the starting blog post) from the list of all by using this special website.

Today we're happy to bring you something new, cool, fun, rewarding, and entertaining together in cooperation with our friends over at Renault Trucks! After a very successful and impressive Trucks World Cup 2020 contest, we've been thinking if we can create something similar and reward our #BestCommunityEver once again!

You might have noticed that a few moments ago, your Steam client started downloading a small update for Euro Truck Simulator 2. And with it comes something special and new; a brand new paint job for the Renault Range T truck - THE BOSS Edition! 

It's beautiful, right? Initially, Renault Trucks planned to use this paint job as a special and exclusive 2020 design for their trucks in the real world, but due to all the difficulties that COVID-19 has brought about, they were unable to make this idea happen. So we have decided together to honour this work of art by adding it for our Euro Truck Simulator 2 community. Consider it a nice gift from Renault Trucks. It's also a small proof that when our fanbase shows some love and attention to a big brand like Renault Trucks on social media, they usually like it a lot! There are real fruits of labour for your passion for our games. It always helps us a lot in communications/negotiations when companies in the automotive industry see the strength of our games' community.

Having received quite a few messages from our #BestCommunityEver about not finding enough free time to finish their personal goal in the currently ongoing #CruisingIdaho World of Trucks event, we started wondering if we should extend its duration a little bit more.

With the recent release of Idaho for American Truck Simulator, the internet has been flooded with screenshots and videos from our community. From the /r/TruckSim Reddit to our official Twitter profile, you have been sharing your journey across this new DLC and your favorite viewpoints along the way.

For those who have been closely following the various matches & voting results in the Renault Trucks #TWC2020  screenshots competition, know that the 16th of May was the last day of the group stages. This means it's time to progress forward with the next round. Before that, let us introduce the lucky contenders who have made it through to the next stage, as voted by all of you from the community!


Do you see your name among the finalists? Congratulations if you do! Make sure to check your email inboxes, as a representative from the #TWC2020 team will be in touch shortly. We will need to know how we should deliver your rewards ranging from Steam keys to merchandise from SCS Software's Eshop and Renault Trucks store! Also, please make sure to check your email settings and spam folders; we've unfortunately received a few server error messages (about undelivered emails) when trying to contact some of you for your first reward - a free Steam key for being selected into the 32 participants.


So, what happens next? Well, now things get a bit more interesting. The top 2 contestants from the original base groups will now compete against one another. One match, one chance. Winners will be rewarded and move on to the following round to get even closer to the ultimate prize. As you can see on the schedule above, winners of these rounds will compete against each other again. And it will continue this way until we get to the grand finale! And you all are still the judges! Keep a close eye on our and Renault Trucks' Instagram profile, as the voting will keep happening in the Instastories sections there! Plus any info can be found at the dedicated Facebook page too!

And do we have some really awesome prizes! These cool items have been kindly provided by our friends over at Intel, HyperX, Tobii Eye Tracking, and Thrustmaster. We can't wait to see who's going to grab them, and who's going to be the ultimate Trucks World Cup 2020 winner!

Due to popular demand, the return of video contest has been a success! This year we allowed you to record on Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, which brought a lot of variety to the videos submitted.


Our committee of judges really enjoyed watching all your videos, even if it did mean settling down for hours at a time to do so. We were especially surprised by the creativity and work that went into some these entries.

There was an overwhelming majority of ETS2 videos - which is somewhat surprising, considering ATS videos could've been from two states, both single and combined. So due to the ratio, 4 winning videos are from good old Europe and 1 from the States!











It wasn't an easy choice to pick our winners, as some of the other videos came close to reaching a top 5 spot, however, we have decided to give some of these videos honourable mention special prize for their efforts!

• Cinematography Gaming - with some great shots of  the many landmarks and assets!
• Stasmaster - a great journey!

We have also picked some of your entries to be featured on our social media channels, because of the number of great videos you've sent us. We certainly did enjoy watching them all! Be sure to look out for them on our official Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Unfortunately, not all entries made it to our judging panel as they did not reach the requirements we set for the contest, so make sure to read the rules carefully next time!

Would you like a different format?  One of the more popular bits of feedback we received, which was to reply/ confirm/ validate every entry that was received unfortunately isn't possible for us.

With the release of our latest and newest content, we have received a large number of screenshots, videos and more across our social media channels and forums. Last year we organized a contest that gave the opportunity to the creative film-makers of our community to show off their work. This year we're not only repeating that, but also including American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 together.

So, to celebrate last year's releases, the focus of the video can be either Road to the Black Sea, Washington or Utah - featured together or alone - your choice. But you have to focus on one game, you can't mix both our simulators together.


From this point on, the contest is now live! Anyone willing to show their creative filming skills is welcome to do so by creating a trailer-like video with any of last year's map expansions as the main focus, and with the freedom to use any and all of the other DLCs for our games.

The 5 best videos will be selected by SCS Software staff and all five winners will receive a coupon allowing them to spend 100 EUR on anything in SCS Software's Merchandise e-shop, plus 1 Steam key for Euro Truck Simulator 2 – Iberia or 1 Steam key for American Truck Simulator – Idaho!

Shipping costs will also be covered by SCS Software, to make it fair for all of our fans around the globe, as we're aware that shipping cost might cast a shadow on the excitement of winning. In the event of a really high number of participants with quality entries, we may throw in some more rewards.

Keep in mind that your videos should be somewhat movie-like and cinematic. Normal "Let's play" videos won't be accepted. After-effects and editing is allowed.


Conditions (read carefully - you need to meet all of them):

• You must use the standard game & DLC only (SCS content) - using any 3rd party mod will disqualify you from the contest; so only the base game and any of our official DLCs are allowed
• Dev camera (free camera) can be used, as well as any other game functions (config edit is allowed completely)
• You may use any truck & trailer combination(s)
• The video must be shot primarily in locations from Road to the Black Sea, Washington and the Utah map expansion.
• The form of the video is completely up to you, but remember to keep your original video file, and of course, keep any revenue if you are a semi-pro creator (see our monetization licence).
• All videos have to be uploaded to YouTube as a publicly available video and we'll be happy to embed the worthwhile entries into our social media feeds as they reach us to help you boost the viewer numbers.
• Music featured in the video is up to you, but since the video needs to be on YouTube, it must follow YouTube content and copyright policy
• One video entry per person
• To participate you have to send the direct YouTube link  together with your name/nickname to contest@scssoft.com – Subject of the email has to be "SCS Video Contest 2020"

Technical parameters:

• Length: 90-120 seconds (not less than 90, not more than 120)
• Resolution: 1920x1080 or higher.

After our previous contests, we were sure that you won't let us down when we started the #IDriveDAF competition - and you didn't. There were over 3,000(!) valid contest entries on specified social media, and a lot more posted on the World of Trucks galleries, community sites, FB fan-sites, and other places.


Judging this many entries was a very hard task. With the "semifinal" pick counting more than 100 pictures, we felt bad for every single one of those discarded as we moved towards the final selection. Pretty often a dozen of you had the same idea for the shot and having to choose only one was very difficult. Sadder still was to exclude wonderful pictures, where the author forgot to tag SCS software or DAF trucks and unfortunately didn't qualify. Nevertheless, we had to choose some winners - and here they are!
