A few months back, we had the pleasure of visiting the headquarters of Volvo Trucks North America, nestled in the scenic surroundings of North Carolina. During our visit, we had the fantastic opportunity to record an exclusive walk-around of the beautiful Volvo VNL 860. Guiding us through the details of this remarkable truck was none other than Jason Spence, the Product Strategy Director, who has been working with Volvo for an impressive 25 years.

What a week it has been, right? A new map expansion of the amazing state of Oklahoma, complemented by our #CruisingOklahoma World of Trucks online event, followed by the release of the enormous W900 Tuning Pack.

The interior and exterior customizations include:

• 3 cabin types - Daycab (300), 740 Sleeper, 860 Sleeper
• Trim options - Fleet, Standard, Touring, Limited
• Steering wheel - standard, premium (with stitching)
• Seats - cloth, vinyl, and leather in different colors
• Floor mats - rubber, fabric
• 10 different chassis types in total
• several spots for accessory placement in the interior and over a hundred detailed options on the outside including new exclusive paint jobs

Recently, we were honored to have the opportunity to visit Volvo Trucks North America at one of their facilities located in the state of Virginia. The main reason behind this visit was to strengthen our partner relationship and meet with representatives of the company; however, this was not all we got up to!

We also had the opportunity to capture important reference data for our Vehicles department's next project for American Truck Simulator, an updated version of Volvo Trucks' legendary VNL. Whilst we know many of you will be excited to hear this news (we're too!) please keep in mind that this project is still in the very early stages of development. We don't have any work-in-progress shots to show you yet, but we will do our very best to work as quickly and closely as possible with the Volvo Trucks team to bring it to life in ATS.

SD160B (Soil Compactor)

The SD160B is a Soil Compactor that weighs 16 tons and measuring 3m (10ft) in height and 6m (20ft) in length! This machine is perfect for working on foundations, buildings, pavements, and other structures.

EC220E (Crawler Excavator)

The EC220E Crawler Excavator is the ultimate digging tool. Weighing up to 25 tons, 3m (10ft) in height, and 9.7m (32ft) in length, it is used in mining, road building, civil engineering, general construction, and more!

EW240E Material Handler (Excavator)

The EW240E Material Handler is made for all jobs large and small! At over 9.4m (31ft) in height and weighing 28 tons, it is the ultimate machine for the job at hand.

L250H (Wheel Loader)

The L250H Wheel Loader is a heavy-duty machine weighing 34 tons, 3.6m (12ft) in height, and 7.3m (24ft) in length! It is the perfect machine to dig, move, load, and more at any job site.
