Ever since Goku became Earth's greatest hero and gathered the seven Dragon Balls to defeat the evil Boo, his life on Earth has grown a little dull. But new threats loom overhead, and Goku and his friends will have to defend the planet once again in this continuation of Akira Toriyama's best-selling series, "Dragon Ball Super"![1]

The Decisive Battle! Farewell, Trunks!

The battle for the fate of the parallel world rages on! With Vegeta injured and his fusion with Goku failed, Goku must face off against God Zamas alone. But this enemy is unrelenting and powerful, and seems to be too strongā€”even for Goku! Will Goku and his friends be able to put a stop to this evil god once and for all?![2]

Story Thus Far[]

This section, or a part of it, has been transcluded from Zero Mortal Project!; any changes involving it should be made there instead. /

A long, long time ago, Son Goku left on a journey in search of the legendary Dragon Ballsā€”a set of seven balls that, when gathered, would summon the dragon Shenlong to grant any wish. After a great adventure, he collects them all. Later, he become the apprentice of Kame-Sen'nin, fight a number of vicious enemies, defeats the great Majin Boo and restores peace on Earth. Some time passes, and then Lord Beerus, the God Destruction, suddenly awakens and sets out in search of the Super Saiyan God. Goku, by becoming that Super Saiyan God, manages to stop Beerus from destroying Earth and starts training under him with Vegeta. One day, Future Trunks appears, hoping to save the future. Goku and Vegeta travel to the future with Trunks, but soon find themselves struggling against Goku Black and the immortal Zamas of the parallel world. Goku's attempt to seal away Zamas with the MafÅ«-ba fails, and when he attempts to hit back, Goku Black and Zamas use the Potara Earrings to become the all-powerful God Zamas! Thrown from one battle to the next, can Goku perfect Super Saiyan Blue in time?![2]

Volume introduction by Toyotarō[]

"One time, after submitting a storyboard to Toriyama Sensei, he gave me this advice. He said, "What makes "Dragon Ball" so distinct and quirky is how it takes an ordinary concept or design and tweaks it ever so slightly."

Senseiā€¦ isn't that the fundamental difference between a genius and a normal personā€¦? Anyhow, I'm working hard to cross that divide!"[2]
