AC Odyssey: How to use a torch? Assassin's Creed Odyssey Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 22 December 2022
In Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, a torch is useful in illuminating dark locations (i.e. caves) and also to burn your enemies or set items on fire. On this page we have prepared a set of guidelines that will let you know how you can use a torch from your inventory and when you can activate it.
You can always use a torch - your character carries an unlimited amount of these items. Even if you drop or lose a torch, you can always take out another one.
To equip a torch you have to hold the right on the d-pad (both on PS4 and Xbox One).
Main reasons for using a torch:
- Illuminating caves and other dimly-lit places.
- Setting war supplies on fire (see the picture 1). These chests are in forts, camps and other military facilities. Hold down the target button, aim at the torch and press the throw button to throw the torch towards the chest. Destroy war supplies to reduce Nation Power in a given region.
- Setting the silos on fire (an example is shown in picture 2). These are large objects, but you can also destroy them by throwing a torch at them. The silo will explode after a while and the influence of region's faction will be weakened.
- Setting enemies and wild animals on fire.
