Any character created during the Event will remain a Temporal Recruit indefinitely, allowing players to progress through objectives at their own pace, with certain benefits available for their whole account.
Features and benefits[]
- All accounts received an extra Character Slot during the first run of this event.
- Temporal Agents had a temporary bonus trait, Temporal Agent, during the event which awards Dilithium for the player's entire team upon defeating enemies. This Trait is only active during a Temporal Agent Recruitment Event.
- Temporal Agents were able to quickly fill the gap between themselves and high-level characters.
- Temporal Agents were guided by Temporal Operations Command who aimed to find evidence of temporal interference by the Na'kuhl.
- This was represented by the Temporal Agent Window, a new UI element in the mission tracker. This UI is accessible to Temporal Agents by using the [Temporal Transponder] that they obtain after completing the "Agents of Yesterday" story arc, as well as the mission “Welcome to Earth Spacedock”.
- This means that Temporal Recruits must complete their first story arc before obtaining the [Temporal Transponder], making this the longest "Recruit" introduction currently in the game.
- Temporal Agents at the front lines of the Temporal Cold War played a story which was parallel to that of their faction, Starfleet, with unique goals. Tasked with uncovering data left by the Na'kuhl at various points in different missions, Temporal Agents would sometimes find additional mission steps, marked with a symbol, leading to a Temporal Probe with valuable intel that could help fight the war in the future.
- During the first six weeks of the event in 2016, there were server-wide goals to which only Temporal Agents could contribute. Successful completion of these goals unlocked server-wide bonuses for the subsequent week. During the event's subsequent returns, the server-wide bonuses were not re-run. A list of these bonuses is provided below:

- Included in this list is each Temporal Recruit story objective, as well as an outline of the complete Temporal Recruit storyline in chronological order. For specific information on each objective, see the Episode page for more details.
- There will be a total of 22 Temporal Probes, meaning the halfway point will be in the mission “Frozen”. This is assuming the player follows the story in order ("skipping" probe #5 initially). Chronologically, “Temporal Ambassador” would be the last probe. This episode was originally placed in the early-game, during the "Klingon War" story arc, explaining its place in-game as probe #5. Unlisted Temporal Probes can be found in side content arcs, such as Story Arc: Wasteland, but they do not count toward Recruitment goals.

Event updates and notes[]
- This event has been remastered as of September 8, 2021 in celebration of Star Trek Day. Missions no longer included in the main episodes have their recruit objectives removed, with new objectives added such as completing the New Romulus, Solanae Dyson Sphere and Iconian War story arcs. Further rewards have been added from reaching Level 60, spending Specialization points, and reaching Tier 6 in any Reputation System. The cutscenes from the tutorial and the Agents of Yesterday story arc have been remastered and several notable characters have received updated models.
- Unlike the cross-faction Delta Recruitment event before it, only new TOS Starfleet characters could be Temporal Agents.
