GreedFall: Interface, HUD Guide GreedFall guide, walkthrough
Last update: 05 July 2021
During exploration, the interface in GreedFall is very simple and easy to read - it doesn't interfere with the game or doesn't overwhelm the player with the amount of information. However, if you start a battle or cast a spell, you will see the more complex version of the interface. On this page of our GreedFall guide, we have described in detail each element of the interface.
Can I change/remove the interface?
Yes. In GreedFall, you can remove or hide some elements of the interface displayed during exploration and battles. You can do this in the menu, in the game tab. Both options are presented in the screenshot above.
Basics
In the basic version of the interface, you can only see two elements located at the top of the screen.
Experience level (1)
Your experience level bar is displayed in the upper right corner of the screen. You earn experience points by completing missions and winning fights.
Compass (2)
The compass is displayed at the top of the screen. It shows you which way you are going and what you can find on your way.
Active pause
During the active pause, you can see the status of your hero and your companions as well as check your attacks, change spells and potions.
Hero's status (1)
The information about your hero is displayed at the top, in the left corner of the screen. You will be able to see how much armor, health and mana you have.
Companions' status (2)
Here, you can see the status of your group and be able to assess their combat abilities.
Actions (3)
Here, you can check what attacks your character can perform (with which key/button) with a given weapon.
Spells (4)
Check all the spells you know, as well as choose which will be the most useful in the current situation.
Techniques (5)
You can check what you can do and how to perform it, e.g. light.
Potions (6)
Here you can check the status of your potions and choose which one you want to use at the moment.
Combat
During battles, the status of your hero, companions and enemies is always displayed.
Hero's status (1)
The information about your hero is displayed at the top, in the left corner of the screen. You can see your health, mana and armor.
Companions' status (2)
During the battle, you will also have to watch out for your comrades - you can see their health and armor.
Enemy status (3)
Health points and armor are displayed above the enemy's head.
Shortcuts (4)
At the bottom of the screen, you can see slots in which you can place various moves or actions, such as potions. This way you will be able to use them during combat without leaving it.
