The Merian-class Command Science Dreadnought is a Tier 6 Science Dreadnought which may be flown by Starfleet characters, including Federation-aligned Romulan Republic and Dominion characters. All faction restrictions of this starship can be removed by having a level 65 KDF character or by purchasing the Cross Faction Flying unlock from the Zen Store. This starship can be used from any level upon completion of the tutorial experience. As you level up, this ship gains additional hull, weapon slots, and console slots.
Players can obtain this starship as a ultra rare drop from the [Infinity Lock Box]; it comes in an [Infinity Prize Pack - T6 Ship] choice package, which is bound to you until a ship is chosen. The boxed ship is not bound and so may be traded to other players or bought and sold on the Exchange for energy credits under the name [Special Requisition Pack - Merian Command Science Dreadnought [T6]].
Overview[]
The United Federation of Planets is never going separate itself from its need for starships that are specialized in rescue and relief missions, and the Merian-class was well-known for serving this role with distinction even during the dark times following The Burn. Its specialized systems are focused on being a bulwark against harmful elements, be they enemy vessel, or naturally-occurring stellar phenomena, to provide protection and support for those most in need.

Inspiration Abilities
The Merian Command Science Dreadnought features special Inspiration Abilities. Every time one of the team members activates a bridge officer ability, player gains an Inspiration point. When the player's Inspiration meter is full, the following abilities become available:
Battle Cloak
The Merian-class Command Science Dreadnought has a battle cloak that allows the ship to cloak during combat, granting stealth and a damage bonus upon decloaking. It has a unique 32nd century cloaking effect as seen in Season 3 of Star Trek: Discovery.
Hangar bay[]
The Merian Command Science Dreadnought comes equipped with a single wing of 32c. Federation Shuttlecraft.
These shuttlecraft are equipped with Federation 32c. Phaser weaponry, and are capable of using an unique Structural Integrity Manipulators ability. This ability will swap between Offensive and Defensive Modes, draining and healing the Hulls of nearby Enemies and Allies respectively. Advanced variants of these pets can be obtained from the Dilithium Store, while Elite variants are obtainable from a Fleet Starbase with an unlocked Tier V Communications Array.
Carrier commands[]
- Carrier Command - Attack
- Carrier Command - Escort
- Carrier Command - Intercept
- Carrier Command - Recall
Sensor Analysis[]
Sensor Analysis is an active toggle ability. While maintaining a Sensor Lock on a target, the player gains a stacking effect that either improves the damage and power drain against an enemy, or improves any heal directed towards an ally. This effect stacks every 3 seconds, to a maximum of 6 stacks after 18 continuous seconds. To maintain the desired effect, the player must hold the sensor lock.
Subsystem Targeting[]
The Merian-class Command Science Dreadnought comes with built-in Subsystem Targeting abilities. These built-in abilities stay at Rank I and do not automatically rank up when acquiring higher tier Science starships. They are separate from Subsystem Targeting abilities gained through Tactical Space Bridge officer abilities.
- Target Auxiliary Subsystems I
- Target Weapons Subsystems I
- Target Engines Subsystems I
- Target Shields Subsystems I
Activating a subsystem targeting ability will upgrade all energy weapons to inflict a stacking power drain on the foe's targeted subsystem for the next 10 seconds. They will also have a small chance to knock the targeted subsystem offline for a short duration.
