Accumulating XP faster will allow you to speed up the process of advancing Songs of Conquest game characters and gaining new skills. Our guide compiles the most important techniques for trustees to gain experience points.

Levelling up your Wielders in Songs of Conquest is very important, as this is the way to improve their statistics and unlock access to new, often interesting, abilities. On this page, we show how to gain XP faster and thus be able to level up your Wielders more efficiently.

Combat

1. The most obvious way of getting XP is fighting. The stronger the opponent, the more experience points you can get for winning the battle.
2. You receive the same XP, regardless of whether you used Quick Battle or led the army personally. As a result, you don't have to avoid automatic resolving of battles - we describe this topic in more detail on Is it worth using Quick Battle? page of our guide.

1. In exceptional cases, a huge advantage in numbers or Wielder's level may make the targeted army flee without having to fight it at all. In this case, you get XP "for free."

Map exploration

1. There are numerous points of interest on the map that investigating is rewarded with XP. For each interaction, you may receive from a few dozen to up to 2000 experience points. Sometimes, you may come across extremely rare ruins that investigating is rewarded with an automatic level-up. These locations are best visited after you have made enough progress in other parts of the map.

Abilities

After leveling up, a window appears where you can upgrade the chosen ability from a list of 3 proposed, and there are skills among them that may improve the speed at which your Wielder gains XP.

1. Learning - Every level of this ability increases overall XP gain. At its highest level, your hero will receive as much as 50% more XP for the same actions.
2. Tutor - This skill allows getting lower-level Wielders up to par with your Wielder of the highest experience level. To perform the level-up, you need to send the Wielder that has this skill to the locations of remaining Wielders so an exchange window appears. The further levels of this ability increase the rate of learning.
