Fog of war and its key concept

1. Each newly started map is almost entirely hidden behind the fog of war. You have to explore it gradually, and this is very important, because this is the only way you find important locations, such as mines or cities.
2. The game also features a so-called partial fog. These are all areas that are within your view radius. You can't freely follow the actions of enemy wielders traveling around the map. They only become visible once they are within range of your heroes or cities. This may become an issue during the gameplay, because, for example, an enemy hero may suddenly appear near your settlement. You can limit this problem by organizing the defense of cities and having additional wielders who, in addition to optional exploration, can scout ahead in search for enemies.

1. You can uncover new parts of the map not only by traveling with wielders. There are various kinds of viewpoints on the map (example in the picture) - interacting with them will reveal a larger surrounding area.
2. You can also get a similar effect after taking over each new stronghold / settlement. You can increase the view radius in cities by putting up watchtowers and other tall buildings.

How to increase the view radius of a wielder?

1. Each wielder is described by a view radius as one of their main stats. They can have 7 or 8 points at first.
2. The view radius affects how efficiently a wielder reveals the map - a higher value facilitates exploration and enables you to react more quickly, for example, when encountering an enemy hero.

1. You can permanently increase the view radius through skills. The most important skill is Scouting. It initially increases visibility by 2 points, but at the highest level 3 the view radius will increase by as much as 5 points.
2. The Looter skill is also worth acquiring. The view radius is not its main bonus, but it will increase by 3 points once it is maxed out.

1. The view radius can also be temporarily increased with artifacts - you will receive a bonus to this stat only for the time you use the item (placing it in the active slot in your inventory). The shoes shown in the example in our picture will increase the view radius by 1 point when worn.
