Here, we present our idea of a strong character in Vampyr. This build allows Jonathan to cope with enemies with relative ease – more importantly, you will be able to finish the game without killing anyone.

Good and versatile build
- A weapon that I recommend for starters is the Surgical Hacksaw - it can be found on the first floor of the Pembroke Hospital. It's a single-wield weapon that doesn't require lots of stamina and is rather swift.
- Enhance the weapon and unlock the improved blood absorption. This will provide 2.5 blood point with every strike you deliver. Combined with a quick weapon, this will give you lots of blood for every fight.
- Now let's talk character development. Autophagy is a must because it lets you heal. Then you have to improve the health and stamina levels.
- You can forget about biting in combat - it's a much better idea to max out skills such as Blood Spear, which deals very reasonable distance-damage.
- A great support skill is Blood Barrier - it costs nothing to cast and can absorb strong enemy attacks. That's particularly useful when you're fighting bosses, who deal painful strikes. The enemy that hits a barrier is oftentimes stunned and hence vulnerable.
- Develop the above skills all the time - you will be fast (due to your endurance, you can still do the breaks), Jonathan will have a lot of health, and if necessary you will be immediately cured to full health with autophagy. Continuously improve your weaponry and always strengthen your blood supply.
- You can use the shotgun, for example, as your second weapon, and develop it to get the best damage. To be honest, though, the main weapon, combined with the Blood Spear. were totally enough in all situations. If you want to make combat more interesting, you can pick one of the ultimate abilities. The Abyss worked pretty well, dealing lots of damage.
