Resident Evil 7: Main House: West Wing walktrough

The west wing is the "left" part of the house visible on the map. This area consists of: kitchen, dining room, pantry, salon, laundry room and garage. If you want to get to the further parts of the building you must face Jack in the garage and get the figurine that opens the door in the Main hall.
Escaping from Jack
You wake up during the family dinner. The game starts after the cutscene. At the end of the kitchen there is the door to a small room, pantry, with the trapdoor in the floor (you must find a key to open it).
Using the door near the fridge enter the hallway, turn right. Walking down the hallway, after the bend, you see Jack (Master of the house) swaying in the corner with a shovel in his hand. You can' pass him by calmly but he is slow and won't kill you with one hit. On the locker that he was leaning against there is the key to the trapdoor.
You must evade Jack, take the key and run to the trapdoor so you can hide under the building. Don't worry about other elements on the hallway, you can go back here later. You can block Jack's attacks (when using guard you unlock Arms in the Air trophy). But you must hurry - if Jack gets you near the trapdoor he can cut off your leg.
Under the building you can notice the red mower - there is an antique coin on it - it will be helpful later. You leave and get to the laundry room. The door from here, which you passed by earlier, leads to the hallway. Before you move on look around: you can find an updated map, in the drawer there are herbs and chems - after combining them you can create a First Aid Med. Near the door you can find a small orange chest. After opening it (turn the object until you find the flap) you find a lockpick.
You should also save the game here (tape recorder). The big green box works as a storage for your items which can be accessed from every box like this one.
When you are about to leave the room, the phone will ring. Answer it. Leave the room, turn right and open the drawer in the corner using your lockpick - you will find First Aid Med (and unlock Master of Unlocking trophy for using a lockpick). Shortly, in the window next to you a police officer will appear (if he doesn't appear then reach the end of the hallway, open the double door and go back here).
He will give you a knife which will help you open the electric box, wrapped in tape, and enter the garage (the entrance on the left when you turn from the window). Before that you can destroy the wooden box in the corner by attacking it with your knife (there is ammo there)
Fight in the garage
In the garage you have to face Jack in a rather unpleasant fight. First, quickly pick up the officer's handgun from the ground (additional ammo is in the wooden box on the locker, left from the entrance) and the car key from the workbench.
There is no point in fighting Jack - you can't defeat him with weapons. Get in the car, start the engine and try to run him over. Near the end of the fight he will get to the car and hit it a few times, leading to an accident and explosion after which he won't get up. The ladder near the workbench goes down and you end this fight unharmed.
However, if Jack was the first one to get in to the car and he tries to run you over you must evade his maneuvers. Evade him until the car breaks down, catches fire and blows up. You can speed up this process slightly by shooting his tires. This way of fight is not recommended, it is much better to get in to the car yourself.
Go up the ladder. You will find a shelf that you can move and a picture on it. Interact with the picture - on the back there is a screw and when you unscrew it you get ox statuette. This item helps you to open a specific door at the end of the hallway which can be accessed through the garage.
