Diablo 4: is there split-screen? Diablo 4 guide
Local coop in the previous installment of the series was very popular. From this page of the guide you will find out whether the split screen fun module, i.e. local co-op, is also available in Diablo 4, and how many players can take part in such a game.
Last update: 19 March 2023
Fans of couch coop should be relieved, as a local cooperation mode is available in Diablo 4. Below we describe the requirements and limitations of this mode.
Local cooperation
Diablo 4, same as the previous installment, offers a local co-op mode . This time, however, you can only invite 1 person to such a game, which means that a maximum of 2 players can play on one console.
Important note - the second player also needs to have his own Battle.net account and has to log in to play. This way, all progress made during local coop will be saved and this way you can mix cooperation and single-player games and still make general progress.
When playing in local coop, the action takes place on a single screen, but each player has his own interface. Same applies to the equipment window - each player has his own and makes changes to it separately.
Beta - problems getting the second player to join
In the current beta session, there may be problems with getting the second player join local coop. This is all due to the fact that the second player is in queue, and has to wait until it is his turn to enter the server.
